I am a Syrian feminist writer from Aleppo. My nonfiction work explores women’s lives, political struggle, and the intimate textures of public life in Syria. I write, teach, and work with civil society organizations on questions of justice, memory, and democracy. I am the author of the forthcoming memoir Obvious as the Sun, and my essays, talks, and public work bring together personal narrative, feminist politics, and Syria’s struggle for accountability and democracy
